dedicated to the memory of Robert W. Therrien Sr.

In 1999 the North East Roofing Educational Foundation was formed as a not-for-profit corporation to provide financial assistance for employees, or immediate family members of employees, of our members seeking post-secondary education in college or vocational programs.  This spring, the Foundation was able to provide eleven scholarships to assist those who might not have otherwise been able to further their education.  Through the generosity of several foundation members, all eleven scholarships were completely funded, but even with their generosity, the Foundation was forced to turn away more than forty deserving applicants. Our goal is to be able to provide additional scholarships to deserving individuals in the years to come.

The recipients of the Robert W. Therrien Sr., Scholarships were Andrew Jacques of Yarmouth, Maine and Margaret Maguire of Larchmont, New York.  Andrew will be entering his freshman year at the University of Maine, Orono in Orono, Maine.  Margaret will enter her senior year at the Quinnipiac University, in Hamden, Connecticut this fall.

The recipient of the 8^th Robert F. Shea Jr., Memorial Scholarship was Robert Marshalewski of Seekonk, Massachusetts.  Robert will be entering his freshman year at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.

The recipient of the 8^th Harry J. Langburd Memorial Scholarship was Lindsey Spieker of South Windsor, Connecticut.  Lindsey will be a senior at the University of Vermont this fall.

The recipient of the 6^th James A. McBrady Sr. Memorial Scholarship was Hanna Nallett of Keene, New Hampshire.  This September, Hanna will enter her senior year at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont.

The recipient of the 5^th Firestone Platinum Scholarship was Mary Wolfe of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.  This September, Mary will be entering her junior year at Emory University, in Atlanta Georgia.

The recipient of the 4^th Logie Family Trust Scholarship was Samantha Darling of South Portland, Maine.  Samantha will be entering her freshman year at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.

The recipient of the 3^rd Michael and Judy Meyer Family Scholarship was Elizabeth Maguire of Larchmont, New York. Elizabeth will be entering her freshman year at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.

The recipients of the 3^rd North/East Roofing Contractors Association (NERCA) Scholarships are Alaura Carson of East Swanzey, New Hampshire and Zachary King of Denver, Pennsylvania. This September, Alaura will be entering her freshman year at Keene State College, Keene, New Hampshire.  Zachary will be entering his freshman year at Penn State University in Reading, Pennsylvania.

The recipient of the 1^st Admiral Building Products Scholarship is Alicia Loos of Merrimac Massachusetts.  This September, Alicia will enter her freshman year at Endicott College, in Beverly, Massachusetts.
